Herb Walks take place around the Up-Island region of Martha's Vineyard (i.e., the west side). This is a beautiful countryside with meandering woodland trails, ocean views, ponds, barrier islands, deep forests, gardens, and ancient farmland. Holly chooses various sites for walks and tries to offer a variety throughout the season; please call or email to find out where a certain herb walk will take place. Bring along good hiking shoes, sunscreen, a hat, light-colored pants or socks, identification book, and paper and pen if you would like to take notes. All herb walks are $25 and last 1 1/2 hours.

Holly offers On-Your-Own-Property Herb Walks, as well. These 1 1/2 hour walks are very popular because I travel to a person's own home to show them what grows around them. I provide a detailed written botanical inventory (habitat list) for later reference, and allow the property owner(s) to include up to three people at a total fee of $75; additional friends and family are welcome at $25 per person. Larger properties (greater than 2-3 acres) accrue an additional $75 per half hour.
